Variations:

•Have a topping party where you provide lots of options for the toppings. Dare the students to try three different toppings before they add them to their pancakes. Some kids have an aversion to food but if we encourage them to taste different foods they might like them.

•Instead of syrup try using jam, honey, walnuts, pecans, pieces of fruit, compote, and Nutella. If there are nut allergies, use only fruit, jams, and honey.

•For more advanced students, have them make the pancakes from scratch.

•Have a contest to see who guesses two of your pancake shapes. The winner gets to eat them.

•Make pancakes of varying sizes and then sequence them from smallest to largest.
